it begins.

Welcome! This year, I decided to follow Elsa and run into the unknown yet again, moving across the world from where I spent 7 years making a home in Washington D.C. to make a new one for an unknown time in Cambodia. So far, I’m loving it.

What I haven’t been particularly good at is chronicling any of it! And while I have a #bookstagram I semi-keep, and a website I pseudo-launched (along with a blog that I will be retiring), coupled with my private social media and the endless messaging apps out there, I have found that talking in too many places online is just too much noise for me.

So I’m going to try focusing here. My friend Kate has a structure in her newsletters that I might borrow a bit, at least getting started, because she is an organizing genius as well as a brilliant writer. In addition to answering questions like

• what i’m thinking

• what i’m up to

• what i’m reading

• what i’m learning

I also will be adding in ones like

• what/where I’m eating

• what i’m making

And we’ll just see how it goes! Who knows, keeping this once a week may become my new year’s resolution. We’ll see. But for now, welcome! Thanks for joining me. Buckle up for the ride, because it’s bound to be an adventure of some kind.
